Welcome!

Hey to all of you out there and thanks for visiting this blog!
My name is Amy and I just wrapped up my freshman year at Wheeling Jesuit University. So yes, you are getting firsthand knowledge from someone who just went through it all and wants to spare you the pitfalls and just plain confusion a lot of incoming college students go through. Stuff I went through, stuff my friends and fellow comrades at other schools went through. The thing is, I want you guys to have the knowledge and tools at your disposal that I and my friends didn’t have. Sure, there is a ton of advice everywhere on the internet, but most of it is very generic and comes from people who haven’t been referred to as ‘fresh meat’ in a long time. Which is why I created, “Fresh Meat”, the freshman year survival guide written for freshman by a recent ‘survivor’ of freshmanhood. I am going to cover everything from Orientation to Second Semester Finals and everything inbetween. For areas that I do not have sufficient firsthand knowledge of, I will either interview friends and write a blog about it once I do know what I’m talking about or I’ll invite someone to write a guest blog entry. I really want you guys to know what the heck you’re getting into! Feel free to send me questions that you want answered and I’ll be sure to write a blog post to address it. (:
So peace out for now ladies and gentlemen, stay strong in this battle. Stick with me and your instincts and you’ll soon rise to the ranks of ‘survivor’.
